Water Damage Discovery and Documentation
Proper documentation, including cause and origin investigations, is vital. If a large amount of water enters a structure building materials can deteriorate and health-damaging mold can easily grow. By using our high-resolution infrared camera equipment, NES can detect any hidden water infiltration, document the extent of the damage, and help assure the proper restorative procedures are taken. All with minimal disturbance to the building and to its occupants. Our report will include clear visual confirmation of all the damages, which will prove invaluable evidence when presenting claims.
Of course, insurances claims involving water intrusion rely heavily on establishing the cause of any loss. That’s why NES works with many of the top experts in construction defect investigation and litigation. Our list of partners includes highly skilled engineers, environmental specialists, disaster recovery professionals, statisticians, contractors and attorneys.
Advanced DNA Testing
Determining if damage was caused by water can be a daunting task if areas have dried and little apparent evidence remains. With our advanced DNA testing and thermal imaging techniques, we can provide indisputable confirmation of loss due to moisture damage, even years after the incident. Our tests provide accuracy up to 99.999%. (Standard testing only provides 60% accuracy.) Because the EPA recognizes the accuracy of DNA testing for mold and bacteria, our Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) use DNA evidence for health concerns, insurance claims or litigation when scientific proof of environmental-specific issues are required.
Protecting Your Structure and Your Business
When selecting an investigative services company it is also important that they be completely insured and provides you with the proper detailed protocols. Our protocols are fully insured and in compliance with industry standards, including the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification, IICRC S520 Standard and Reference Guide for Mold Remediation and S500 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration.
